Spent a fun few days on a road trip up through some of Montana's old western ghost towns - the picture below is of the old jail in Phillipsburg. Charming town. I had no idea there were so many other ghost towns in that area.

Visited Yellowstone and saw this coyote. Couldn't believe how close he was and how he seemed to pose for us. Love it!

Cadiz - painted hogs everywhere

Wanted to share some of the pictures from my trip to Kentucky.  It was my first real visit to that beautiful state, and there was so much to see and do.  We arrive the week before the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs was all decorated, getting ready.  We loved the small town of Cadiz with its painted pigs in front of most businesses.  Our main destination was to attend the Paducah Quilt Show and it was something.  The quilts were magnificent.  My sister is a quilter and this was a real highlight for her.  We got to meet some important race horses, visit some beautiful barns, see some neat old barns with quilt designs.  Didn't realize there were so many distilleries, and we had fun at the Wild Turkey Distillery -- if you have a chance, take some time, visit Kentucky.  It is a beautiful place.

Isn't this cute? Our yellow lab, Max, loved to ride on our ATVs.  When my husband loaded this up one evening before a ride, Max climbed up on the ATV and stayed there the entire night.  I think he was afraid we'd go without him.

Do any of you remember the John Wayne movie, True Grit?  We had the chance to go visit the sites where it was filmed.  Had a fantastic trip.,  This is the site of several of the scenes.  We hit it in the afternoon and was able to catch the beautiful sunset.

Had to show off our recently painted 1955 Chevy.  Isn't it gorgeous?  My grandkids call it our new/old car or our ice cream car.
